imagine the schoolroom of a century ago — a well-worn dictionary left open on a desk, a Latin primer with penciled annotations in the margins, vintage book pages filled in careful copperplate, a child's illustrated dictionary with its small, earnest drawings. these are the papers that found their way to us — vintage paper ephemera rescued from forgotten shelves — and we couldn't let them go without a purpose.

the schoolmaster's papers brings together ten pieces of antique paper for collage and mixed media paper projects — two each of dictionary pages, a midsummer night's dream pages, handwritten ledger paper, children's illustrated dictionary pages, and second Latin book pages. a rich set of junk journal supplies drawn from real history, not reproduced from it. no two collections are ever the same; the pages we find are the pages we send, and yours will be entirely your own.

they arrive wrapped flat in a soft translucent wrap, stitched at the top and bottom, sealed with a centered label. you can see them through the wrap before you even open it — a little window into the past, ready for your hands.
